The winning ‘high’ bidders are required to pay cash in CFA only at the U.S. Embassy in Bamako on Tuesday, February 26th, to February 28th, from 8am to 12pm; no checks or foreign currency will be accepted. Most items for sale have been imported to Mali duty free, therefore winning bidders must pay customs fees comprised of 12% to 42% on top of the winning bid price. The duty cost depends on the type of item. Property is sold on an as-is basis for cash payment without refund, warranty, or guarantee. Items must be picked-up in person at the U.S. Embassy in Bamako by 11am on or before Friday March 1, 2019.
