Cultural and Educational exchange programs are one of the essential components of American public diplomacy.  The U.S. Embassy/Public Affairs Section (PAS) administers a variety of U.S. government sponsored programs which build cultural ties and bridges of understanding between Malians and Americans. They are intended to introduce participants to the United States and American people and culture, as well as provide them with a chance to exchange ideas with Americans.
