U.S. Embassy Jobs in Mali

Effective November 10, 2018, the U.S Embassy Bamako’s Human Resources Office will no longer accept paper-based job applications.  The new system is an online job application system called ERA.  

To apply for U.S. Embassy job announcements after November 10, 2018, please view job announcements and login or create an account in the new ERA job application system

Before submitting your application, be sure to carefully read the instructions and eligibility criteria as well as the section, “8 Qualities of Overseas Employees”.

 If you are selected for testing or an interview, the U.S. Embassy Human Resources Office will contact you. 

 

For U.S. Embassy job applications due by November 10, 2018, please use the former system:

Apply by filling out the form DS-174 (English Version-PDF-6 MB), or DS-174FR (French Version-pdf 490 KB), and send to BamakoJob@state.gov. The subject of the email should be the title of the position you are applying for.

Do not forget to attach additional documents relevant to the position requirements (e.g. CV or resumes, diplomas, work certificates, recommendations, etc.).

USAID Jobs in Mali

USAID Job Applicants should continue to submit applications to the USAID Human Resources Management Section as explained in the USAID Job Announcements Below – send your email: bamakohrmvacancies@usaid.gov with the reference number in the subject line. Emails for USAID jobs that are received without the Vacancy Reference Number will NOT be considered.

 To apply to USAID Jobs:

Qualified candidates should submit the following documents to be considered.  Failure to do so may result in a determination that the application is not qualified. Only shortlisted Applicants will be contacted.

Resume or curriculum vitae (CV) relevant to the subject position (English)

  1. Cover letter of not more than three (3) pages describing how the incumbent’s skills and experience fit the requirements of the subject position. (English)
  2. Applicants are required to provide (3) to five (5) professional references with complete contact information including email address and telephone numbers.  References should have knowledge of the candidate’s ability to perform the duties set forth in the application and must not be family members or relatives.
  3. Copy of Academic Transcripts/Diplomas/Degrees/Certificates.
  4. Applicants must provide their full mailing address with telephone and email address and should retain for their records copies of all enclosures that accompany their submissions.
