This program funds two years of graduate study in the United States towards the completion of a master’s degree. Applicants must have (maîtrise) degree (four years of a university study) or a degree equivalent to the American bachelor’s degree and a TOEFL score of at least 575 (PBT) or 90 (iBT) points. They must also take the GRE and/or GMAT test and achieve the requisite score for university acceptance. For disadvantaged applicants, the FFSP provides intensive English language training for up to eight months before the academic program begins. On the initial application, applicants may submit an ELAT or equivalent test score in place of the TOEFL. This program is intended for college professors with a Ph.D. or doctorate degree who would like to conduct research or participate in a professional program at an academic institution in the United States. The duration of the program varies between four to nine months. Applicants must have a TOEFL score of 550 (PBT) or 90 (iBT). On the initial application, applicants may submit an ELAT or equivalent test score in place of the TOEFL. Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program
This program, which combines university studies and vocational training, is intended for executives from the public or private sector who have at least a master’s degree and five years of experience promoting the economic and social development of Mali. They should be interested in policy-making and design in areas like agriculture, health, educational planning, finance, banking, human rights, law, human resource management, urban and regional planning, prevention of human trafficking, civil society, HIV / AIDS policy and treatment, or communication. This program lasts nine months at a U.S. university, but does not lead to a diploma. Applicants should have an excellent command of English.
