U.S. Ambassador Paul A. Folmsbee met with the newly-appointed Malian Prime Minister Soumeylou Boubeye Maiga on January 3 in Bamako. This meeting was an opportunity for the two personalities to discuss security, the peace process, and U.S. assistance to Mali. “We are a big partner of Mali and we are here to help Mali. The U.S. government will continue to support projects related to elections, health, and economic development, “said Ambassador Folmsbee to press after his meeting.
The United States supports the Malian government’s efforts to stabilize the country and also helps in many areas, including education, defense, security, and local development.
