Six Peace Corps Volunteers Swear In

On February 19, 2015, a group of six Peace Corps Volunteers took their oaths of office, bringing to 19 the total number of Volunteers in Mali since restoration of the program in September 2014.  The Volunteers will serve as Water/Sanitation/Nutrition Volunteers and Small Enterprise Development Volunteers during their year of service and will serve in six communities in the Region of Sikasso.  The Volunteers have all formerly served in other countries, including Mali, Guinee, Senegal, Togo and Cameroon.  The swearing-in ceremony was held at the residence of the U.S. Chargé d’Affaires with a large crowd, including representatives from the Government of Mali, in attendance.
