The U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Andrew Young, alongside with the Minister of Health and Public Hygiene Ousmane Koné, kicked off the 11th Edition of the National Campaign for the Promotion of Family Planning (FP) Thursday at the site of the “Youth Project” in Sogoniko, commune VI, District of Bamako. The theme of this edition is: “Family Planning, a right for all.’’ The campaign seeks to raise awareness and inform youth on all aspects of FP, to make FP services available and initiate advocacy activities to help youth gain access to the benefit of these services without any major constraints. The U. S. Government, through its Agency for International Development (USAID), provides financial support to this campaign and to the Government of Mali’s family planning and reproductive health programs.
