USG and Partners Celebrate Accomplishments and Closure of Maternal and Child Health Integrated Program

On June 05, 2014, Ambassador Mary Beth Leonard along with USAID and its partners celebrated the accomplishments and closure of the Maternal and Child Health Integrated Program. Since August 2010, the program, implemented by Save the Children International and Population Services International, has helped to reduce maternal and infant mortality.  The program touched more than 2 million Malians, including over 455,000 women of reproductive age and nearly 400,000 children less than 5 years old in the regions of Kayes and Sikasso. The closing was attended by national, regional and community health representatives.
